I Will Follow Him

SWEET GENTLE ANGEL

Sweet gentle angel, not that I aspire
To win thy favor, through ambition raise
My wishes high, I wake anew my lays;
But that thine image may adorne my lyre
With beauty, more than fancy could inspire!
As, when behind the silver clouds she strays,
The moon peeps through, and sheds a mellow blaze,
Till woods, hills, valleys, with enchantment fire;
So does the soul, through pent in mortal mold,
Break through the mortal veil; illume thy form;
With softened lights each varied feature warm;
And in thine eyes such fairy radiance hold,
That on each object round they beam a magic charm.

-Sir Samuel Egerton Brydges

UNTITLED

The Angels are lighting, God's little candles
Softly they glow as the day says goodby
The Angels are lighting God's little candles
We call them stars, they're our friends in the sky

The cares of the day, like clouds roll away
While stars sprinkle through, nights curtain of blue
The angels are lighting God's little candles
Darling it's time, to be thinking of you.

The Angel Within

Inside all of us, there lies an Angel within.
He or She it matters not.
The Angel is where we all begin.
God has instructed our Angel to serve and protect,
But it is up to us to heed Its advice.
For if we are blind to Its teachings,
We have only ourselves to blame in retrospect.
Sometimes we may not like what It says,
Because the Truth often hurts.
Yet, if we remember the Angel's purpose,
The wounds heal quickly,
And our Protector helps change our ways.
Listen to the Voice within.
And when you next look in the mirror,
The Angel will be smiling back,
Nolonger confined within.

" An Angel is here from the heavenly climes
Or again does return the golden times;
Her eyes outshine every brilliant ray
She opens her lips -- tis the Month of May."

-William Blake / Mary

Psyche Gazing on Cupid

And feeble, exhausted, unawares she took
To gazing on the god, - till, look by look,
Her eyes with larger life did fill and glow.
She saw his golden head alight with curls,
She might have guessed their brightness in the dark
By that ambrosial smell of heavenly mark!
She saw the milky brow, more pure than pearls,
The purple cheeks, divinely sundered
By the globed ringlets, as they glided free,
Some back, some forward, - all so radiantly...

-Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Angel Dance

As I closed my eyes
to await a dream
in the darkness
I saw a beam.
It drew me to a place
where cherubs danced
with a most angelic grace.
Where was I? I demanded to know
but not one was disturbed
as they continued their show.
Then I saw one of them smile
and looking straight at me
before I knew it, I too danced on the tile.
There is nothing more fulfilling
then dancing with angels in heaven
you just got to be willing.
Each time I see you, my friends
I feel like I'm in that place
and with your smile it brings
heaven right to my face.

A Mother's Love

The Angels...singing unto one another,
Can find among their burning terms of love
None so devotional as that of "Mother."

-Edgar Allan Poe

ANGEL OF THE VINE

I sat breathing in the Springtime air,
contemplating where my life was going.
When out of the essence a glare
forming into shades of red began showing
a spectacular spectacle of savvy Angelic flowing.

The Kaleidoscope of pinks, burgundies, and reds,
was a translucent mirage of grandiose force.
"I am the messenger"; the Angel said;
"To explain to you miracles, of course."
"I am from a wonderful fruitful source."

"Why appear and only talk to me?"
Was all I could say to it.
Thinking to myself; "What can this be?"
Trying to regain my composure from my fit
of fear as I tried to use my wit.

This wonderful presence handed me a glass
and I lifted it to my lips fearfully.
Slowly, this heavenly wine began to surpass,
any hesitation subsided, as the saturation cheerfully
uplifted my soul gloriously and yet tearfully.

"The fruits of the vine has cleansed you."
The Angel reported to me very discretely.
"For you know now what to do
and you need to do it petitely
as well as using care rather completely.

The Angel looked directly into my eyes.
"I am the Angel of the Vine,
I do not wear a hidden disguise.
Now that you have tasted special wine,
go and make your soul beautifully shine."

My Angel's mist then vanished into air,
loneliness granted me to never be alone.
From that day of an Angelic scare,
I had an Angel of my own
talking to me about things never known.

~Angel~

Pretty Angel down a road, so bright of eye and quick of smile
So strong of nature, goodness sighs, as if admiring your aura awhile
Crystal dreams of moonlight bathing next to one so much as you
Has taken death from someone seemed had no living left to do
The essence of your eyes' gaze is impossible to tell
The power in those deep blue eyes I have seen, and know it well
A warmth inside a lady who contains it in her heart
So pretty, sits at times in slumber, first a smile before tears start
The balance of this Angel is no less than mentioned here
So many charming things, tied together into one so very dear
The good Lord brought me down this way with chance now to remain
With this one so irresistible in her beautiful domain
There was a singing in the stillness I once heard it as a child
Filled scary evenings with a melody I sang once in a while
Now that melody of beauty has a face, and form, and all
Those things needed by a lady the lady has them all
I wish my mind a little stronger, and my words more precise
My arms a little longer to embrace what seems so nice
I wish my vision to recover, that I may just see it all
All the smile upon the Angel who was here, and heard my call

"Little Angel"

Little angel, Child of light...
Heaven unveils her cloud woven gates.
Her Angels shall cradle you
upon wings kissed with love,
their light gently guiding you to a garden of stars.
Beautiful sprite, little lost soul,
fear naught for your essence is free.
